Biggest Loser!

So...now that our sweet Bekah is 18 she and I would like to do an audition tape to be on the biggest loser! That said...we need your help. I will be in Tucson the end of March and we would like to make our video on Sunday March 28th! Unfortunately I am not the most creative! We would like your help in coming up with a video idea. The only thing I want for sure is to have as many members of the family in the video as possible! Thoughts anyone?!?!

So, things up here in Minnesota are going well. The weather has been mild by Minnesota standards but would be considered cold and crazy for AZ. I am enjoying it. I tend to run warmer than most. Today my friend Melissa and I spent a chunk of the day at the Mall of America. It is H-U-G-E! We probably only walked 1/4 of it and we where there for about 5 hours!

Work has been going really well. I have no doubt that moving here was the best move for me. I have met some great people that are on my side and want to help me grow. I have had some good opportunities to be a part of some projects that are getting me noticed even more! So, I decided that I need to dress a bit more professional. That said...i no longer carry one of my zipper purse to work. I purchased some nice dress shoes today at DSW. I actually wear makeup every day too!

So...no pictures to post today but it did snow a very light snow most of yesterday. It was fun to watch the little white flakes fall! People at work think I am crazy! And I suppose I am to a degree! I have been trying to figure out a way to come home for Christmas and my birthday but it just isn't working out. I am pretty bummed but also know I will be just fine. I am pretty sure the world won't end! Or maybe it will.

The First Snow!!!

I have been dying for it to snow...well today it did. It was a light dry dusting but fun for me nonetheless!

My New Digs in Minneapolis

Ok so I am going to attempt to post some pictures of my place in Minneapolis. I really love it! It is very cozy and comfy! Here goes nothing....


This first picture is a view as you walk in the front door. You can see the coat hooks on the left...I am definitely going to use them. The only problem is this room isn't heated so it is fairly chilly. May pick up a coat rack to put in the front entry room where I currently have all my shoes. As soon as I have money I will get a nice table and something to put the shoes in as well. Not everyone wants to see my many shoes!






This picture is from the little foyer. Isn't this door beautiful? I love it. I feel rather safe since the white door that you can see through the window has a deadbolt and door knob that locks. And this beautiful door has 2 locks as well!















This is the living room view from the foyer. I have decorated for Christmas already. As you can see my ottoman doubles as a computer desk. Actually just to the left of the couch is a small table that holds both my personal laptop and my work laptop. Sorta funny. As you can see, there are some beautiful craftsman built ins. I haven't put anything in the one you can see but the other one is full of my dvds.





This is my view from the couch. Yes I was of course watching football. You can see a little glimpse of the entry on the right.











This is another view of the living room from Wilbur's room (aka the dining room). You can see the entry door and the other door leads to the sun room.











This is a view of Wilbur's room and the kitchen. Yes, that is a toilet paper roll on the floor. Wilbur loves to play with them. Wilbur has taken over the lovesac as his bed. The doorway to the right is my bedroom. This is the beautiful Hutch in Wilbur's room. It is great storage! And a great place to put my nativity scenes.


This is my bedroom. The white door goes to the bathroom. You can get to the bathroom from my room and the kitchen. It is rather strange but works! I sure do miss my garden tub from my Mesa apartment but oh well!

Ok...so I need to get showered for church. The kitchen nor bathroom are anything to write home about. I did put those pictures on Facebook if you want to see them! Come visit anytime!

Ok....no fainting....I am finally posting!

So...it has been a long while since I have posted anything on my blog. Sue me! It has been a crazy busy year only to get crazier by moving to Minneapolis MN next week! Did I really just say next week? OH MY GOODNESS! Of course, in true Amy fashion, I am moving somewhere cold in the middle of the winter. Well, Minneapolis is just starting to get cold...January and February will be brutal! But I am very excited! I am even more excited for the new adventure! I will absolutely miss my family and friends in Arizona but there are new friends to be made and I will fly home as often as possible! I will post more when I get to MN!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Well....I am home cozy in my chair after a day of church. I sang at the first ward conference of 6. I was asked to sing as a part of the relief society meeting for all ward conferences. I am singing a duet with my roommate, playing for her for one song and then singing 3 songs myself. Well today wasn't my best as I just got my voice back on Wednesday. And it isn't back all the way! We do it all again in two weeks.

I have been working no less than 60 hours a week as of late. I am starting to train for the triathlon. I got my temple recommend today too. Been an eventful year so far!
